Frequently asked questions.

  • FRANK BERLIN e.V. is a non-profit association working at the intersection of mental health, culture, education, and community. We create public formats, educational content, events, and initiatives that make mental health more accessible and less isolating.

  • No. FRANK BERLIN e.V. does not provide therapy, diagnosis, or crisis support. Our work focuses on education, awareness, cultural programming, community building, and public conversations around mental health.

  • To be frank means to be honest, direct and without pretence. That’s exactly how we approach mental health: openly, without shame and without taboos.

  • Fear is often something we hide, avoid, or try to overcome privately. For us, fear is a starting point: for reflection, honesty, connection, and transformation. “Inspired by Fear” means looking at fear without romanticizing it and asking what can become possible when we stop hiding from it.

  • Mental health is not only a private or clinical issue. It is shaped by identity, relationships, work, migration, loneliness, social pressure, and belonging. Cultural spaces allow us to speak about these experiences in ways that are more human, collective, and accessible.

  • FRANK BERLIN is for people interested in mental health, psychology, culture, emotional life, and social change including people with lived experience, creatives, researchers, therapists, educators, students, and anyone who wants to engage with the topic more openly.

  • FRANK BERLIN is rooted in Berlin and works with an international, culturally aware perspective. Our events and community formats are currently focused on Berlin, while our digital content is accessible more widely.

  • We explore topics such as fear, anxiety, loneliness, identity, shame, emotional overwhelm, belonging, access to mental health support, and the social dimensions of psychological wellbeing.

  • You can support FRANK BERLIN by becoming a member, volunteering, donating, attending events, sharing our work, or collaborating with us. More information is available on our Get Involved page.
